Went to the gun show

I went out to the waukesha gun show this morning. Didn't really have much $$$ with me nut it was something to do. I walked over by the people that always have the parts kits..... They now want over $400 for a romy G kit
Saw a couple decent prices, surplus ammo prices are starting to make me cry.
Soon commercial stuff will be as cheap to shoot. $5/box of 20 for romy 8mm, 7.62x51 over .50/rd, $3 for 10 rounds of 7.62x54r. The turk bandos for $20 were among the best deals I found on surp, and they used to be like $7 I think
Crazy.
I wish I had more money right now, there was a 1918 SMLE for $140 that didn't look too bad.

I went around 3:45 today, wasn't that impressed with the prices.. Picked up a box of 100 .45 reloads for $20 which I can live with..was going to get another magazine for the XD, but the guy was gone by the time I tried to go back and get it. Definitely wouldn't mind dropping a few bones there though If I had it

i picked up a century arms G3, and a rock island officers 1911.

other then that, there not the same as i remember as a kid, going to the big ones back in 91-98 or so.

How much for the G3? Did you check the bolt gap and look for a ground bolt yet?

Haven't done anything with it yet, i will be taking it to my parents to rip it apart, and compare it to my Dad's Springfield import HK G3

picked it up with 4 Mags for 400.

Bolt gap is basically the way to check headspacing on a G3/ Cetme style rifle, Century used to grind the bolts to get a larger bolt gap but it was a false one.
