go to www.ridesafely.com and search Acura RSX-S i've seen a few for like 3-5K and you could part the rest of the car out and use the seats/5lug/rims ect on the civic/integra etc..

but on most sites i think its about 5ish?

yea... either a k20 or b18... but now that ic the k20's going for closer to 5k i dont think so! maybe i can find a smashed up teg with a b18 in it for cheap....

i really want to do a k20 though, if i could find one for a decent price i will snatch it up.

these saturn motors are good for nothing except getting good gas milage... cant make any horsepower on them! i think an all motor b18 or even a stock k20 would make for one hell of a fun street/play car! i have been checking into this swap, and it seems like i could do it real easily... hopefully easier than my RWD v8 conversion i'll keep you guys posted!

BTW if you have a motor/trans/ecu let me know

you can piece it together for way cheaper than buying a whole swap. If your good at building engines which i take it you are with yoru fab skills why not just get a k24 block and do a k20a head on it and you could make 270 n/a whp. if you do it this way you could have a built k series swap for less than 4 k easy

if it was that easy everybody would do it. your not considering things like mounts, axles, header, wiring, hell the k-pro ecu alone is over a grand used. he would probably end up spending more on a k series than he did on his sbc swap.

^^^engine, ecu, trans, stock stuff... but if you wanted to do a turbo kit thats like $1700 or so... you could easily make 500whp for like $4000-$5000 if you do all the work.... there was a shortblock for sale in WI for like 300 bucks on craigslist....

    here is a better option:

*H22A JDM spec long block (200fhp&tons of torque for a 4banger)-$1000
    *Hydro B16(super short gears) tranny-$800
    *ECU(crome EFI)-$250
    *Stage 3 clutch-$300
    *Evolution H2B motor mounts for EG/EK Civic-$350
    *Misc. bolt ons-$500

This setup put together and tuned correctly is an easy high 11sec setup in a street-lightened EG civic HB. I'd say a gauranteed low 12sec N/A setup all day long

200whp B-series in a super light street EG can easily run 12.7s
200whp H-series in a super light street EG can easily run 12.5-12.2 all day due to it's abundant torque curve especially if a short-geared B16 tranny is used. good tuning is key also!!!

BANG FOR THE BUCK N/A setup

ok im not a honda guy... i dont really want a h22 because of the weight(i think, thats what i hear!) and after looking into swaps and such i'm thinking about a b16... now... what do i want?!?! would a single cam motor do alright N/A or would i be better off with a DOHC right off the bat?!!? sorry so so many questions but i dont know my b16 a b or c's or whatever you call them!

H22's are slightly heavier than D,B, and K series motors. But if you put enough power to the ground, especially in some light weight tupperware Saturn, it shouldn't make a difference.

lol h22 weights a lot... this should settle the weight issue

    http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=684550

you will be extremely disappointed in a b16, either settle with a b18c (not b18b no Vtak yo!) or h22

sorry guys the h2b kit is alot more.. can't remember, but it's up there in the 1G area I believe... gotta check!!!

Heavier upwards in the front of a FWD car for straight-aways is actually an advantage. H22's are big torque monsters if you don't like those tiny torqueless Bseries and those expensive over-rated Kseries motors. Essentially a H22 with a B16 tranny is somewhat of a K20/K24 setup although not as hightech(i-vtec), but yet budget minded in a sense and can be just as potent!!!

good luck on your choice and stay away from SOHC 1.5/1.6Lers!!!
