I wouldnt bother wasting any time with 351 heads. Like he said, the performance gain over stock E7s isnt even worth the cost of the gaskets to change them. Complete waste of time.

Find a set of heads off a V8 Explorer, it will be much better in a properly matched setup.

Like every else has said, dont waste money on used old casting heads. By the time they're surfaced and a valve job done, and springs yadda yadda yadda, youre looking at $600, by that point you could buy a decent used set of trickflows or something and make way more power. I made the same mistake with my SBC, i thought i was saving money buying a set of ported #291 casting heads, by the time i had gone thru them, i had like $700 in em, and then i realized i could buy a NEW set of dart iron eagles for $100 more that would flow 50cfm more. Spend the money right the first time, instead of pouring money into old junk that you will end up replacing a year later anyways because the shit didnt make any power. And doe302, you prolly wont be running 115mph with heads that flow 177cfm, thats flow number is good for only 350hp max which in a fox would only be good for 110 trap speeds tops.

Back to the topic, fox bodys love spray. With a 125 shot, gears, stall, and sticky tires you should be in the 12s no problem.

could not have been said any better, there is a forumla you can use to figure how much horsepower you heads will be capable of making, remember no matter how much cam you throw at something, the heads will max out sooner or later. so if you plan on doing anything down the road, bite the bullet and get some good heads, you can get a decent set of trickflows for about a grand.

b3o3 is a baby **** cam, street avenger is a pos carb. theres a bit more potential in thoes heads, but either way. no matter what you do its going to be a waste unless you spring for a decent set of heads out of the box.

    Here is the calculator http://www.bid2race.com/calcs/powerfromcfm.html
And that is MAX horsepower with everything being ideal, so dont think you'll be at that.

You really need to get yourself an education on small block Ford setups before you open your mouth.

To back up my statement, 93 Cobras did NOT have GT40P heads. And what is your definaition of "much quicker"?
