Could the guts be switched into a LT1 case or is there more to it?....

Yes! Just change the bell housing to a 97' LT1 bell housing is an even easier route. They unbolt on this style of trans. Originally Posted by GRNDNL

I gots a 95?.......
I've never even seen a 4L60E out of a car, I "thought" the the case and input shaft was different or something?.......Or is that just 6-speed stuff?.....
