heading a bit farther north now, but still a little bit for me in fondy county. i just hope that the northwoods gets a good 4-6. that would help them out a lot. was a pretty slow january for a lot of places. that thaw hurt. on another note....

anyone hear any news on any kickass 2010 sleds. would really like to get a new one since i have over 3000 miles on mine now. sounds like cat's 2010 MY is going to be another BNG year, so what do the other manufacturers have coming out??

Trails are still pretty good up north. Lots of ice underneath but they have plenty of snow. Next weekend will probably be the last of the year for me but it has been a good season riding. I remember years ago when riding in march was a bonus. The past couple years we have rode deep into march, I think the last ride we did last year was the 31st.

yeah i logged 140 miles on saturday around the tomahawk area. was a little thin up towards prentice, but we came back down around Irma and the snow was great. the corners were a bit icey, but that is the norm this time of year. a lot better than i expected. going up north to Michigan this weekend and then calling it a year. my buds talked me into going even though I would be fine putting the sled away now. should end up with just under 1300 for the year. a bit short of my goal, but pretty good considering i didn't log a single mile on my local trails. last year i did over 1000 miles in the fond du lac/sheboygan/calumet county area alone. this year though the trails were never available when i was.

well my season is officially over. have to say I am kind of sick of winter.

me and 2 buddies logged 390 miles this last weekend in the UP. we managed to get our white pine to copper harbor run in on friday and then a quick run to Lake of the Clouds on saturday. trails were great in the morning on friday, but on the way back they got pretty bad. traffic got a bit hectic too as we got farther south. almost 400 miles in less than 13 hours of sledding, and that is including 4 gas stops, 5 eating stops and 3 long picture taking/relaxing rests! ended the year with 1171 miles. other than the big wreck, sled ran flawless and i consider it a good year. amazing how fast the snow melted. even up there you could tell that they lost a lot just in those 2 days.

Same here, we went up last weekend and pounded on a whole 25 miles of off trail riding. Trails were mushy and melting fast. Till' next year . . .

Put about 75 miles on saturday morning around winter,wi. Actually found some good riding off the beaten path, but the main trails were junk. Ended up shooting guns and drinking fermented beverages

I've got about 3000 miles logged for the year but I'm not quite sick off it yet. This winter has been a blast, just to bad the snow isn't going to be around a little longer. Me and some guys from my club are going to make one last trip to big bay friday. Hopefully the snow will be alright. Little 500 has served me well and other than a broken skid bolt, not a single let down the entire year.

I put on just north of 2000 miles this season. The firecat held together better than I expected, no problems at all this year. I was worried that with 6k miles on it shit would start breaking but didn't happen this season.

I went out to the garage to work on my 670HO. Finally got it started today after being apart all winter, the thing really has a wicked sound to it. Cant wait to ride it next fall, now I notice the fuel pump is leaking so I'll need to deal with that, then I want to give it a few heat cycles and retorques, fog it and wait till fall.

Actually I think I'm gonna do the opposite, gonna sell both my sleds and my other quad, gotta get rid of some of the toys and the sleds will be the first to go.
