    1987 Trans am GTA

    Ive decided to put my 1987 Trans am GTA up for sale. It would make a nice project car, I am only selling because I really want a black GTA and I dont want to change the original color on this one. Im asking $2,000 OBO. If youre interested call 262-865-0528

    The good.

    350 Tuned Port Injection engine
    Engine runs strong
    Transmission shifts nicely
    Not alot of exterior rust
    Solid floor pans
    Brand new starter
    Brand new Dynomax super turbo muffler.

    The Bad

    Body damage on passenger side (got a quote $600 to repair without paint work)
    Passenger fender has a wave in it.
    Minor dents and dings.
    Needs new paint.
    Needs new spoiler.

    For $1,800 a solid L98 GTA? That seems like a pretty darn good deal, even if it needs a little bodywork. Any rust issues? Good luck with the sale.

    It does have one rust issue, the spare tire well has a hole that needs patched but there are no other major rust issues. Oh Also the hatch pulldown unit needs replaced or rebuilt.

    What kind of gas mileage does that thing get? Is it better than 16mpg on the highway? Does it leak any oil? What does this car need besides body work? how many miles on this car? Would it handle 40 miles a day driving? Just trying to get a car that gets better gas mileage than my truck driving it work.

    It gets about 22 mpg HWY about 17 in the city. It runs fine and leaks no oil. Ive only used Synthetic oil for all the oil changes too. The only thing it needs besides body work is rear brake pads and the hatch pull down motor needs replaced or rebuilt. Interior is in fair shape but isnt perfect. Oh and it does need a new cat if youre going to have to take it to emissions. Right now its registered up north so I dont gotta worry about it.

    I'd buy it for a DD if I had the cash right now. You should just keep it, white gta's are my favorite that's for sure. Paint it a pearl white with blue pearl, leave the spoiler off, lower it with some nice rims and you'd have a dead sexy car imo.
