    Cts-v

What can you expect to pay for a used one?

Anyone know of any problems with them?

Well it all depends how new.. but expect to pay around 30K or better.

Wheel hop issue and or broke rear suspension stuff is the main issue.

I had tried buying an 05' with 9K on it last spring and that was on the lot for 39,999.

Sweet car, I always liked the idea of luxury caddilac cues with the heart of a f-body or vette. RWD 6 speed LS Caddy? If it wasn't for price these things would be much more popular.

That's why I want one. Plus with two kids it will be eaiser than getting them in and out of my Mustang.

I found a 04 on ebay in the mid 20's.

No, I still want a notch back for a track car, but I think I am going to pursue the CTS-V for a cruiser. They are just plain sexy. As an added bonus the wife really lilkes them too.

The problem is that I cannot find any in the area.

As much as I like my Mustang I want a four door and ford doesn't sell anything close to the CTS-V. The LS blows in my opinion.

when using autotrader, always widen the search area to 50 miles minimum (I used 100 miles). I also use the enhanced search options...on something like a CTS-V, you'll find no special designation...so most use keyword search. I find it best to search ALL CTS's, but put a control on it so it shows only CTS's with manual trans and v8...aka, a CTS-V

Couldn't have said it better! Distance isnt a problem for a great price, I got my 98 Camaro Z28 with only 75,000 on the dash for $8,000 flat, from a guy in IL, 1 owner (yay me 2nd), garaged. Drove to pick it up, well worth it!

ForcedSS on here His Father-in-Law (?) Has a silver one, and the thing is pretty quick for a Big four door. I say get it. Or for the Same price you can get a 04+ Audi S4 (4.2L V8 AWD 6spd)

You could also wait a couple months and pickup a Pontiac G8 for around the same price as a used CTS-V? Little bigger car on a nicer platform with a warranty and no fear of how it was treated by it's previous owners.

No 6 speed manual option for the G8-spot... 6speed auto however and no L76, but the venerable LS2 instead. Gawd damn subaru logo, flag people to our south west get all that junk instead, and a vegimite samich cooler to boot!

To start with no Manual, but from what I've seen the 09 which will come out in 08 will have the a manual options.

Which I know is no help if he wants one in the very near future. I want a CTS-V as well, but if the G8 is bigger that will be a better option IMO.
