lol, for $300-$400 what do you want? I think there great for the money. I paid like $1800 for the optics on my PSG1 and my LTR and those are Swarovski's

That's the way I see it.

They cut me a deal (.mil discount) so I paid around $315 shipped for mine. I was kind of apprehensive about buying one, but the great reviews and solid resale value (they go for about $275 used) talked me into it. I'm glad I did, I didn't want to get stuck with a piece of sh*t. Don't get me wrong, I've got some cheap scopes on .22s (BSA, off the shelf Powerline from walmart) but they serve their purpose great, even when they don't focus all that great or the glass is a little tinted. For $20, what do you want? I don't need a $600+ optic to hit a soda can at 50 yds with .22LR. On the flip side, the SS is closer to higher end optics then the lower end ones. Great deal.

I havent had a chance to strech the legs with this optic yet (don't have public real estate down here in SC past 600), but I expect it to perform great. I've got a trip planed to a private range about an hour and a half away that goes to 1000. I'll most likely load some 175 SMK HPBT's and some 155 Lapua Senars (should stay supersonic at 1000yds).

    Thread back on topic now!

I've got nothing planned, but I may put together a 9mm AR upper. Not too sure about that yet.

Here it is. I finished my AKS-74 build a few weeks ago, ran a few mags of 5.45 thru it without incident. It is built on a NDS-2SF, and is a matching #'s kit. Now it needs a refinish. I love how they shoot, no recoil and muzzle stays FLAT with that brake (just a little loud for bystanders that is all...) I am happy with it, now to finish other projects. Just kinda hard as it is almost summer and I would like to work on my cars too. Enjoy

Good to hear. I am looking at Imbel kits, maybe South African or a G1 if I can swing it.

Yeah I've had to lay off the gun stuff lately. Low$$$ , plus I have been trying to stash some money aside to work on my car.
I would love to have a G1, course then I'd have to start collecting all german battlerifles, and I ain't rich

Well got the triple tree soldered on, I'll pin it after I sight it in to make sure the front sight is lined up good. Still have refinishing to do and odds and ends. I hope to eventually replace the Century furniture and US mag with wood and the G3 mags I bought for $1.20 ea. But for now I need them for compliance.

Now I have something for my CETME Bayo's

just tell the cops that you just want the parts in the bolt to "settle in" after a few mag dumps and that you are trying to get a better idea of your actual bolt gap on that thing, im sure that they will understand
