    Doing my math............

Going off your sig if you had say 100hp

    1lb - 100hp + 7%(7) = 107hp
    2lb - 107hp + 7%(7.49) = 114.49
    3lb - 114.49 + 7% (8.014) = 122.50
    4lb - 122.50 + 7% (8.57) = 131.07
    5lb - 131.07 + 7% (9.17) = 140.25
    6lb - 140.25 + 7% (9.81) = 150.07
    7lb - 150.07 + 7% (10.50) = 160.57
    8lb - 160.57 + 7% (11.24) = 171.81
    9lb - 171.81 + 7% (12.02) = 183.84
    10lb - 183.84 + 7% (12.86) = 196.71

In that case the variable added 96.7% hp w/ 10psi

Figuring your car made maybe a little generous 400hp NA @ the crank adding 10psi would achieve 786hp
786hp = 96.5% increase The factor in that case pretty much stays constant, but your calculations were actually low, not factoring the increase while staying 7%, the actual factor of increase grows exponentially with each pound.

furthermore if you did actually shoot for 15psi say....

175% increase with only 5PSI more.
Thats the nice thing about stuff increasing exponentially.

How does 1100hp sound to you?

However, I'd imagine it would be complete hell for longevity to have 15psi on a car that has high compression to begin with, not to mention air temps would be damn near impossible to keep ambiant while squeezing them down to that much, on top of the actual compression that'll be done down the line. I'd imagine 4" piping @ minimum would be needed. So you would likely need more boost to see `1100, unless you have Nitrous in the line or liquid nitrogen just for the cooling effect.

    WTF?

    390RWHP x .70 (10 psi or 70% increase in power) = 273HP For a grand total of 663 HP best case scenario.

and for 15 psi i come with a 105% increase. So 390 x 1.05 = 410 HP increase, which would result in 800 RWHP best case. Now with all the losses figure in the mid 700's

Count on a 1% loss for every 10 degrees you heat the air over ambient too.

Why is this on this thread again?

And unless im doing something completley wrong the formula makes sence.

Another easy way is for every 14.7 (1bar) psi over ambient pressure ~ 100% increase in power. Express the amount of boost divided by 14.7 and that's your multiplication percentage so

    (X psi/14.7)= % increase in power

    YHP + ({X psi/14.7}*YHP)= New HP *approximate*

Tom, since the H3's now come with a LS v8, why not wait until they inevitably put a v8 in the Colorado's?

Too much upsidedown yet, we tried to upgrade to an '07 Torch Red GT last week. same car, bigger motor. I'm trying to talk my buddy that likes Monte Carlos into your car, but he wants an Econo-Car.

it gets decent mileage if you dont beat on it... You can get a used 06' SS for less with avg miles for a year old....
