Front disc brakes on A-body

Anyone converted from drums to disc on the front. Really not interested in paying the $500 for a kit. Any suggestions ?

Hit the J-yards. The one in Sullivan had a couple old 70-72 A-bods (didn't look for discs though).
All you need is a setup from a 68-72 A-body.
I am going to use the ones off my old 71 Vista for my 64
Or do the 12" brakes conversion with some J-yard B-body setup.
