OBD I... any ppl with tunning knowlege

I really need my car tuned and I have PM'd someone, but incase they do not respond anytime soon i may need help.right now i can only rev to 4 grand and yeah that won't work at the track for me. i want to learn how to tune my car and have it tuned correctly, but have no idea where to start. im asking if any has tunning experience with OBD GMs. i have some files that i want to use. I want to modify the TurboGP Bin. Of course i will pay for services, but at the same time i would like to know whats going on and such. not just pay and have it done.

Im just checking if anyone is interested.

    thanks.

If you have bin files I can burn them to a chip for you, but as for the tuning, I am still learning that myself so I won't learn on anyone elses car until I figure it out on mine. But like I said I have the programer and I can burn chips no problem, and I can show you how some of the stuff works, just the actual tuning part that I'm still not up to speed on. Shoot me a PM or hit me on AIM some time.

If you go that route, you can do all the data logging and tunning on your own, then you just need the chips burnt with the new modified bin, which I would be willing to do.

Out of curiosity, why type of hardware is needed to burn new proms? Is the software and hardware expensive??

You'll need a programmer, a program to read the bin and modify it, spare EPROMS and a UV light, or EEProms.

Here's a place to start learing information.

Getting the hardware isn't the hard part, the steep learning curve of tuning is. You just have to start reading.

Yeah, Imagine trying to teach yourself a foriegn language just by reading a book writen in it. Thats about how if feels learning how to do this.

As for the hardware if you go ultra cheep you can get everything you need for around $200, but its not the most user friendly stuff. The more you spend the easier it is to use and the more capabilities you get.
