The one by us is doing the same thing. Everything in the store is at least 10% off. I think they said they're remodeling but it sounds like a buyout to me.

Roundy's bought some of the stores in the Milwaukee Area... So theres really no competition for Roundy's anymore

A lot of them are Pick n Save now. It was amazing how fast they did the change over. I don't even think they closed.

jewel osco left wisconsin entirely. oscos became Serv-U. Pick n Save bought 5 jewel stores, they took 4 days to close them, change them over, now they're picks.

I was at the Jewel on Layton yesterday and bought way too much crap. IIRC liquor was only 10% off, wine was 20% though. Food and most things were 10% off but odds and ends like school/office supplies, car stuff, soap, medicine, batteries were all 40% off
