    show up at GLD, simple as that. park the car, watch what the guys do, THEN get in line and have at it. don't worry about your reaction time, just worry about driving the car down the track. then work on that. then you can play around with shift points and how to launch the car better, etc..

    i've been there, just doing free runs basically though. trying to find traction and consistancy. but my cars are always too slow.
    Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.

    i wonder how fast it would run?

    previous best was a 13.0@111 on a 2.3 60'

    wouldn't my former trap and horrible 60' indicate alot of potential given traction? I'm not a genious with these times?

    now w/ a new motor, cam, tune, and decatting, I'm sure I'd be gaining close to 50hp???

    God I'd hate to ask, but what might my car run? if I got traction? like a 1.8 60'?
    low 12s? high 11's?? I do know that my former 2.3 60' is garbage but that 111trap w/ just headers is really good. Typical GTO owners are getting about 430whp with the same mods.

    once it's done I guess I should start saving for drag bags, stiffer rear springs, and a C6 Z06 clutch, as well as a short throw shifter.

    cutlass queen, as long as I can "barely" edge out the grand am, i'm game. need a confidence booster. I've been reading BCM racing sh1t talking for a few years now, and I wanna join in, seeing that I have something that potentially, with money, could compete.

    Dont worry about the SS Grand Am...it'll probably hit 2nd gear and you'll be already at the finish line

    ...just saying start out racing small cars like my daily beater for practice and then move up to bigger/faster cars...you'll get the hang in no time

    WTF is an SS grand am? We dont go around mixing Chevy and pontiac names on the Northside... You dont see red squirrels ******* gray squirrels do ya? BWHAHAHAHAH Just refer to it as the SE that it is or maybe the up level GT (great tires).

    on the Northside we don't consider to call everything we drive a Bad LS1, a bad LS4, and a bad L59....i think people get the hint after the first bad

    but if thats the case then I'll call my Grand Am a BAD 2.3L...the Pontiac does it SE style

    Here is the predictions on the primer bird:

    A. It will keep driving through junk yard tranny's
    B. It will have the bottom end sprayed out of it, thus taking out another junkyard tranny and converter and the infamous LT1...
    C. The 8.5" rear has to fall out of it somewhere in between there...
