    10 bolt strikes again!

well after taking the car to the shop today i found out that my 10 bolt is on its way out. axle bearing wore down badly and there are metal shavings everywhere. car still moves fine but the loud humming gets annoying and who knows how long it will last. i'm very confused to what i should do. here are my options: trade in before it stops moving, replace with another from junkyard, beef up the ten bolt with new axles and carrier, or fix it and sell it. i'd like to put a 12 bolt or a 9in in there but its a little out of my price range. any input on this matter will help me out alot.

I'll also have my stock low mileage 10 bolt available this spring, but I doubt you can wait that long...

They're fine. Not optimal, but with a .7 overdrive, they work well. I have 3:73s in my 82 with no overdrive.
