    Arrow build question

ok i was wondering if its possible to build a 4cyl motor like either a b16, 1.8ls v-tech or even a h22 with 500hp for $3000. is it possible??? just in the motor alone... not the car or the standalone.

it can be turbo, nitrous, supercharged or whatever.

input is welcome... i am just throwing this out there to see if its possible.

Possible. Sure. Especially if it wasn't expected to live very long.

Likely, even if it wasn't expected to live long, No.

sure it can be built for $3000. Get a HIGH mileage LS motor, 8.0:1 Arias pistons, crower rods, arp rod bolts and head bolts...piece together your own turbo. A T3/T4 COULD net you 500hp...or a GT35r can get you there also.

I think mos def it would have to be a turbo motor. I have a cousin with a turbo B20 (CRV motor). Pretty much same set up: 8.0:1 pistons, good rods, arp hardware, head work, some custom fab work manifold, exhaust cutout. It scoots with just a DSM 18G

It depends on how much you can get the motor itself for and how reliable of a setup you want. You could easily make 500hp for $3,000 in the motor but your definitely not going to have everything I would have in my 500hp motor.
