there anyway I can meet up with you and see your car firsthand, and discuss the LS1 swap?? I need to gather as much info asap, as it's either a LS1 and a 4L60, or a GMPP Crate motor and upgrading around the tuned port.

but this needs to be soon, as there are alot of nice deals going on on e-bay and I have interest in a few.

total realistic cost it took you? what could be reused? what had to be modified, etc.

there is going to be another LS1 swapped f-body in the mix possibly.

and no, dammit, it's not me.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.

You have the LS motor in the Goat so stick with that until it is done then look to the firebird.

What's wrong with a Gen I SBC? Seems like the build of choice, IMO. Cheapest parts and widest selection.

he wants modern fuel injection. tuned port is going to be too much money wasted v.s. economical all around car.

he was looking into a LT1 swap, till I told him that it's still basically a gen I w/ changes.

    so now it's going to be a LS1. can have 400hp and 25+mpg. can't do that w/ a gen I.

he actually had ordered a GMPP crate 350, till he started digging deeper, and realized, that he'll need a stronger trans, better rear end, etc. for the stock thirdgen to handle it, and if he just swapped in a LS1, the initial cost wouldn't be too far off for a LS1 & 4L60E. compared to a built 350 and 700R4.

Don't know what he'll do in the end, but right now, he's looking for the right deal on a ls1/4l60e & wiring harness.
Well, at the very least, I have an interesting back story.
