    Shep's new Record!

    7.95 @ 182.28 without nitrous! - 8.15.06

    This weekend at the 2006 DSM Shootout, Shepherd Racing did it again and broke two records. With a pass of 7.95 @ 182.28 they broke their ET and speed record, and also ET and speed without nitrous record! Thanks to all who attended the shootout and supported the team over the weekend. With nitrous back in the car, look for even quicker runs in Maryland August 26-27.

    i was there in person...i was down by the Baracade when shep did his first pass.my ears were ringing for like 30min after that. i still cant believe that AMS nor Bushcur won the Fast 16...Marco owned.when Marco and The AMS evo ran, i was like right behind the water box and AMS was all over the track..they cant seem to keep that car under control

    Is that on 100% Methanol? Does anyone know the crucial motor specs like boost, and turbo size? Someone said its spinning 10,000+.

    What was his old record? Reason I ask is, I thought he went 7s already a few months ago. Maybe it was just really close.

    Thats basically what I was going to do.

    55psi, 10 1600cc injectors on 100% allky.

    He went 7.9ish @ 178ish late last year and is doing high traps and a very similar time ALL BOOST no n2o!!!

    no its not.. whats really funny is.one of the Local DSM guys was looking under the Car and he got yelled at..i wonder what he is hiding????he wont say what kind of rear end he is running.

    RUMORED RX7 turbo II ish. Dont know for sure but that would make sense. Tons of different gear options available, strong. You could make that work with some fab time. He told me that was the reason it hasnt been out much this year.

    Yeah Jake I thought you were suppose to be there? I was hoping you would show up. I seen Shep's pass in person, it was pretty awesome. The finals of Q16 was pretty good too. AMS Vs. Marco. AMS had the hole shot, but it looked like Eric had a hard time getting into 2nd gear and was all over the track nearly crossing into the other lane through 3rd and 4th and just didn't have enough track to catch Marco. Good race though. Rumor at the track was Shep is running a Ford rearend. I seen rearend in person as well as in pictures and there is definitely some major fabrication work going on under there.
