    Gear drive, plus or minu 4*?

    Got a free gear drive with new car, 89 LX 5-spd.
    Can be installed strait up, -4 or 4+ any thoughts?

    Street toy, heading to track and dont give a rat
    about idle or emissions. Yes its a noisy one

    It depends a lot on which cam you have. Most cams will even say how to degree them. See if you can locate a cam card or info on the cam in there assuming it is aftermarket.

    To be honest...I couldn't tell too much "seat-of-the-pants" difference when I tried advancing a cam 4 degrees once. I did pick up about 1.5mmhg vacuum at idle though. I'd just go with brad's advice and install it per the card.
