Shots from the bike blessing thang.....

Here's a few shots from the bike blessing deal yesterday. My son and I rode down and we ended up getting shoved in a space next to the band so I wasn't really able to do much in the way of selling bikes or service (the band sucked by the way). For the most part it was the typical crowd: People drunk by 12:30 in the afternoon, wandering around in 75 deg weather wearing chaps, leather jackets and fingerless gloves (nothing like heat stroke in May!).

There were a few interesting bikes there. The Victory with the flame cut rear fender was cool. The chromed Road King was amusing. The Softail Heritage Springer with the blower was rather funny. Nothing like doubling the HP on a bike that weighs 800lbs (It has to be pushing at least 90HP )......

Sorry that the pics suck BTW, it was a very hard atmosphere to shoot in.

This was the bike blessing in Oak Creek. It's run by the Road Runners (sort of rubber knife gang types but harmless enough). They have been holding it for 21 years now and from what I understand it is the original (first) bike blessing in the US.

I ended up in line to get blessed when I was leaving. The priests hand starte smoking when he touched me, is that bad?????

I drove passed that. I was wondering what was going on. I would have never guessed a bike blessing....
