Almost done with the Porsche project. : )

Well me and my old man decided to try something a little odd. A 79' 911 sc with a whole new look, a 355 sbc and some other tricky stuff, once this motor is rocked for a bit we are going to run a single or twin turbo setup with a new fuel system but for right now we are going to rock the n/a setup for a little bit. We shot for about 450 horse on the 355 build and she sounds pretty healthy. Hopefully have her on highway in a month or so once we get the front clip and new torsion bars on. Sorry for the bad pics but you get the idea.

I will post a ton more pics once the finishing touches are added. Yeah it defiantly confuses the crap out of people. I get the occasional asshole that gets pissed we got rid of the porsche motor but w/e, good for them I say. Once this thing is turbo it will be extreamly nuts but we need the 930 4 speed tranny to handle that kind of power. And for the price of a 930 tranny I could buy a new car lol. Yeah the people that have heard it run think it is ethier a 100,000 dollar porsche motor or something way off base. When I took her down to the gas station I had about 10 people pull in and just look at me like WTF is going on. It will defiantly be fun to see the reactions at highway. But to answer some questions , the kit was basically an adaptor plate to bolt the porsche tranny to the block and some misc. parts for the cooling system. I will tell you what isnt fun putting a radiator in a air cooled car, not fun, but it worked out and turned out very clean. Here are a couple more pics from the build when we beagn in the beggining of last year, it looks much cleaner in person. Enjoy

Currently it has a 915 tranny that was made posi, but it cant handle the power, its a usless junkpile. Hopefully a 930 will be had in a few months.

Uhhh I'm one of those Porsche fans so I'll keep quiet... But it's definately different... Thumbs up for originality... I'm just curious, where did you put the radiator, since that's definately no longer air cooled????

Yeah I was one of those guys to untill we just said f it and tried it. We put the radiator angeled in the front in front of the gastank. The front end we oredred is a 915 or 914 front cant remember which one, but it has a nice cutout in front for airflow to the radiator. For sure this summer I would definatly love to get some good shots of this car with some other great stuff. I will keep that in mind coming up.
