    Tire size

I was wondering what the maximum width tire you can fit in the front of a 3rd gen f-body is without the tire rubbing. I'd like to get the widest tire possible without it rubbing or having to modify the body to accomodate it.

The rim would be aftermarket, probably 8 inch wide rim havent yet decided the diameter for the rim.

I've heard of people sticking up to a 275's all around. But it really depends on rim width, backspace etc...

I'd look for something PROVEN myself. Look at some different pics of combos on 3rdgens, and go from there. Least you know whether you'll have to bash in the wheel wells or what-not so certain sizes "fit". That's how I plan to do it.

I want at least a 255 in there, because i not only want it fast as hell in a straight line i also want it to handle better than it did, my goal is to make it out handle a porsche, which is do-able, just takes time and research, but thanks for the tip

My 91 RS had 245-50-15's in the front and 275-50-15's in the rear. Heres how it looked...nothing rubbed except at a hard launch the quarter panel lip dug into the drag radial just a little bit, rolled fenders would be very simple to correct this problem, but also a different offset would help too probably.
