a new exhaust setup is in order, so that was first on my List

Next comes a converter, THEN the cam...Lets hope I make it to the cam this year or the converter is gonna HURT my setup bad

you know I KNEW someone would say somethin about that

Ive yet to buy 1.6 RR's (not being real picky on make), using OEM CC lifters, and Im still undecided on the springs...seems like theres a lot of options, but id rather buy something in more of a kit thats not real expensive...and everyone seems to have a different opinion on every kind of Spring!

You should just buy the LT4 hot cam kit that has everything 1.6 RR's, locks, spring, etc. Then turn around and sell the cam and go buy a cc306 maybe an 847.

I bought a LT4 HC kit for $300 with 10 miles on the setup (The guy wanted bigger), turned around and sold it right away cause some guy was looking one ASAP so I sold for $500.

So you probably could find a kit with a few thousand miles on it for $250 to $300 tops.

I hate buying used valvetrain crap, cause the cost difference isn't TOO bad over what you can buy new on a group purchase for.

BUT, one thing i will say is I don't think the springs of an LT4 cam kit can handle the lift of the CC306 or the 847 cam. i wouldn't try it, in my opinion.

That exhaust looks killer! Glad to see another one like mine was! Definitely get the converter soon, that was a .5 reduction alone if not more. Remember, Sy3500, LT4 cam kit, 3.73's, and mac headers got a full weight '97 Z down to 12.4 at whatever mph.

Bigger cam, lighter car, better exhaust setup... who knows what you'll run. Either way, I feel a Formy VS. Irish rematch about to happen

I saw a black LS1 SS going through SM the other day, Looked real sharp.
But we'll have to go hunts some sometime, when ever I get my car back together.

Yes I'm still with Jess, It'll be 5 years in August and we have a baby on the way.

Were also in the market for a T/A or SS.

Good luck on the SS. Theres a black 01 SS with 17" Chrome ZR1's for 19k in IL. Low mileage if I remeber, under 30k I think. I did a carfax tho and it was in some kind of accident. But that could be anything from a minor scratch to a total wreck/restore. It was a 6speed too.

Hey josh you could always keep the car you have now and buy a LS1/T56 or LS2/T56 power pack off ebay and get a 98+ front end
