Ever since I put my 347 in last fall I have had a vibration mainly in the shifter handle. (I realize some vibration is normal but this is excessive) It vibrates sitting still, in gear or out of gear,...
as far as the suspension goes I would check the springs to make sure none of them are broken and start with replacing the shocks/struts.
I can give you a hand with some of the stuff...
-The check engine light wasn't diagnosed as a lean condition, that's what the code description is. A lean condition could be caused by multiple...
Thanks Dan! We appreciate all the kind things and support!
We are going to make sure that parts that I have will work and if not, upgrade.
Thanks for the support! Lynn has always supported my hobby! We have been working on the car together since the day SHE found it and took me to see it when I bought it 5 years ago!
I'll post some...
This is Greg's wife Lynn, and I just want to clarify some of the speculations many of you are having...
Greg is not rebuilding the engine just to "waste money." He has been talking to a number of...
My buddy told me that his co-worker has a 347 on an engine stand that he is willing to sell. He is going to sell it for a VERY good price!:banana1: I just have to wait for him to break in his new 347...
Cool, I will be having my engine built locally but I may order from them.
Any cam recomendations?
Also, I have a brand new Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. I was in the process of...
I have Brodix ST 5.0 heads (http://www.brodix.com/heads/st.html). Manual trans. Have to check on cam specs. 3.73's in the rear.
I don't know what compression ratio I'll be running or where I plan...
Some of you may have read my other thread (http://brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36903) and learned that I'm going to rebuild my engine. I'm thinking about building a high compression 331....
Anyone have suggestions, comments??
Just got back from a nice vacation to NY state to visit Lynn's parents and other family. It was a nice road trip and a good time.
Well I'm not going to ask for a new engine. I do feel that it...
It could be the sway bar links or sway bar bushings...
To check the links, grab the middle of it and try moving it up and down. Look for play on each end of it (where the bushings are).

I guess I wasn't clear enough in my first post on this topic...
Here are the details of what lead up to me "getting on it."
1. My 4 year old niece was standing INSIDE the house while my car was...
Just to clarify what my wife posted... Yes, I did have to swap the timing cover from my old engine. They put on a fox body cover, not a sn-95. The oil pan was fine, I just took that off to put the...
Thanks a lot man! If I need a hand with it I will give you a call.
Hello everyone! This is Greg's wife Lynn. I am posting this for him while he is at work. He has been really busy working on everyone else's cars the last week and he still has to fix the Focus before...
Yes I do have guide plates. That is exactly correct that they are supposed to rub on them, the plates are what keep the rocker arms straight. (I just learned all of this myself)
I sent my old push...
I did notice a fair amount of oil in the upper intake so I'm willing to bet thats what the blue smoke is coming from. I don't know why there is so much oil getting past the PCV filter. I am going to...
To give a little more detail...
I found that my pushrods have been grinding on the plates they go through in the cylinder head. Every one of them has gouges and a metal ring around it. The reason...
Last Sunday I was fooling around in my Mustang a bit.
This is the post I put on another forum:
I was going past our house and I punched it in first gear, then I drove a little farther and all of...
