It has only one wire so it's the coolant temp sensor for the gauge. If it had to two wires it would be the one for the ECM which can be seen on the right side of the lower picture in black.

Perhaps it was the same one. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I thought the one I saw was in the high 14s or possibly slower. Who knows if they were ironing out a tune or ? I seem to remember...

Damn. I just sold the most cherry/clean cl360 tank I ever laid eyes on. It was orange. Most are typically pretty rusty inside. Not that they aren't workable though.
I've got some small diameter tube for making a seat frame and an XS650 tank you could make fit.
I got a package deal of a cb350, a cl350 and an xs650 for $50 when I was 14 or 13. I made one good cb350 out of the two and sold the 650.
