April 17th GLD first race .

looks like some old Hwy K.O.T.H guys are running this class this year..
looks like it is a mustang shootout. anyone else want to come play?

10.5 class very little rules. 8.6 cap easy money....

first 2 races you can split $220 membership. $110 race fee. good payouts great sponsorship. anyone who runs 8.60 can win. new class with many new racers. 16 car field. PRO 10.5 class

now if we could change the tire to a 275 with 8.60 cap that would really rock. well see how this class goes this year.

i think we have some chitown racers racing this class also..

True street has this class now... a 8.60 cap would make it a drivers game.

Jim you never lifted last year from what i saw, but when you race an index class and you can run the faster than the number, sometimes there are games played on the big end. example if you are leading just to make sure you dont break out you might lift or blurp the gas. and on a 275 this would not be easy because you unload your susp and then load it again and lose control. i have been there trust me its not fun at 150plus mph. heads up is easyier on the big end because all you have to do is win the race and not worry about beating yourself. that is why it is.

I would think if you dialed the car in to run 8.60 in a full run that's what it takes. I'm not a index racer. Just don't like it. I'm going circle track racing again that's more fun for me. You like it and that's your thing. Just not mine. Good luck to you.

the problem is 8.59.99 is a loss. and on a smalller tire your 60ft will change all the time so you have to look all the factors. including cutting a good light. better to lift at the end if you are ahead if you have your car dialed because it sucks to lose because you broke out. been there also. that really sucks win the race and lose but that is index racing. i think at most of our talent levels that just getting to the cap at GLD of 8.60 on a 275 would be a great accomplishment. but we will see this year how many do it. it can be done for sure we know that. circle track sounds fun. not enough time in the day for both.
