Good numbers! Really damn impressive for just 5L

That is pretty god damn impressive! Granted the power is a little out of reach though at 6600 and it is a dyno jet putting on the show... ill give credit though! By way of comparison my car with just 88 miles and RFS made 390/385 at obviously a lower RPM with 1.2L more disp. I wish one could see a graph to note wether it actuall makes alot of power under the curve too, then im gonna have to open my fucking wallet.
Here's the graph:

My take is it's an impressive engine...
but I think inside line is grasping too hard for answers (severely underrated, making up for past,
bloody the camaro/etc), as to why it's making much more power than expected...
...when the other answer could be "This might be an optimistic dyno..." could suffice
as well.
Before I read crying about me bad mouthing ford (especially from DRK), it might not be either.
Never-the-less, we'll just have to wait for more dyno's and track times to see.
Still damn impressive for a 5.0h.
By the way im not trying to jack the thread by posting this, or creating drama FYI, its for COMPARISON.

Yeah i think the weight advatange to the mustang will help it alot, its prob 300 some odd pounds lighther. Yeah mine is a right in the avg for stock and slightly above avg for the mods. Im pretty excited for this new mustang now that it has some formidable clout right out of the box. I bet this car and mine from a 40 punch would be pretty much door handle to door handle. Lol its such a strange feeling getting all amped of over cars that are very much slow by others standards these days.
Very good numbers right out of the box! All that matters tommy is the highway should be fun once these start hitting the streets. Should make for some good ol fashioned street light drag races!
I can't wait to hear one of those with a decent exhaust system/LTs.
Actually, I think it sounds damned good for a stock exhaust. Also, from what I've read, there is VERY little to be gained from LT headers (10hp maybe) on this engine. Ford pulled out most of the stops on the design of this thing, so unless you don't mind spending money on minute gains, save your money for the forged pistons to go with the blower or turbo system that will inevitably find it's way onto this engine. With the stock head flow of the new 5.0 mod head (best for any mod motor yet) and the kinda big (by stock standards) cams, this thing will flat shit on most any new domestic in a similar state of modification.
Tommy, with you lugging 4000 pounds of imported Government Motors pig around along with that bullshit IRS, you had BETTER open that wallet of yours... :D
I stand corrected on my above statment about it being roughly 300 lbs lighter, they are nearly identical w/o driver.

Yikes! The mustange just gave up its weight advantage?
It was looking so good with the stock power it was putting out, but once you put the weight back into the equation it's not going to be all that fast.
All new cars are pigs. Amazing how a 3300# sports car these days is a lightweight. :chair:
