I dunno... I've run into people like this before. Though never at a track. Usually people there know better than to start running their mouths around people that know more about cars than them. Then on the other hand, there are A LOT of poseurs in West Central Wisconsin. The come out in droves on Friday and Saturday nights in Eau Claire. Hell ask Twicks... he and I are both from up there. Speaking of which there was a guy up in Eau Claire/Meonomonie that used to tell these tall stories about his Silver 80's Monte Carlo SS taking down a late-model Corvette (this was about 10 years ago), a 3000GT VR4, and some other hot car in a Cannonball/video game style race on the back roads between Eau Claire and Menomonie at speeds of 170+ MPH. Of course he was trying to impress a woman with the story...:goof
