this is a GREAT event for Beginners, or experienced.
you drive as fast as you can for One Lap, on a real Race Track,
and you are timed.
fastest lap at the end of the day wins,
kinda like Nascar Qualifing.

i am the Black Camaro, # 57 XS class
you really only get 1 lap? how can you improve? or do you get 1 lap then go out later for another lap?
i've always like Time Attack stuff like this but hard to find.
the schedule shows how they do it,...
in the Morning, 8:00am to 12:00 = Practice.
you will get about 4 sessions of 5 laps each, to learn the track.
12 to 12:30 is lunch.
then from 12:30 to 5:00pm, you get your "timed runs" of one lap each.
JUST LIKE QUALIFING,
everyone lines up at the Pre-staging area, and they let one car go at a time.
you do your timed lap, then everyone behind you gets a lap,
and you get another, and another, and another,
until 5:00pm hits.
it depends upon how many people (cars) are running.
the fewest timed run laps = 4, the most = 7,
but usually 5 or 6.
After each timed run LAP you do,
they Post your time on a board,
you look at your time, and then
you next lap you try to do better!

The tech sheet doesn't say "no trucks" so does that mean they allow trucks to race?

BTW, this is by far the best value around when it comes to track days! The price is stupid cheap. There are very nice trophies for the top 20 or 30% of every class at the end of the day too. If you've never been on a racetrack with your car and wanted to, this is the event for you!

Had a blast, and cut exactly the amount of time I was hoping to (2.4 seconds), leaving me just 1 second off the current track record in A-Stock after only two events with the car. Now time for some even stickier rubber and bigger front and rear sway bars, and that S2000 thats been holding the record for the last two years is GOING DOWN!!! :devil
What happenned to you Mike? Was something wrong w/the car, or did something just prevent you from making it? What kind of times do normally run in XS? There was a lot of tight competition in XS that day, the STi's were really laying it down, nearly beating the YS winning time! :stare
