Very bad ass!!
Got up riding this weekend in the UP. First time on a sled in at least 5 years after being pretty in to it. It was much fun after I shoot the riding rust off. Got about 160 miles on in 6 hours. Doesn't seem like much but we had to stop 3 times for food because we were riding with a "tapeworm" :goof
very bad ass! i was seriously thinking about doing this to my pro-x, but i like the feel of a lighter/snappier twin a little better for my style of riding. geuss i just got use to a snotty ass 800 twin in my pro-x. next year will for sure be a iqr/rr chassis (for those of you know dont know, this is the polaris stub-nose snocross chassis)
any one check out the 09' lineup yet? 800 IQ and 800 dragon in a 121" track!!!!
i wanna do an IQr with a 660 like my old proxr.
waiting to stumble across a cheap rolling chassis.
anyone else happen to go to lake geneva last weekend? we went saturday and had a blast watching the races and jimmy blaze freestyling. they also had all the new sleds there from all four companies and yamaha had test rides for their nytros and phazers, which i tried the nytro and thought it was pretty nice. we also had pit passes so we went and romed around in there for a while. also the track layout is by far the coolest ive ever seen.
heres a small vid that some guy on hardcoresledder took-

Our season is finally done, trails closed yesterday. We're set to get a decent storm tonight and tomorrow, but I know they wont be reopening. Not too bad of a year despite the troubles I had, it was definately the best year in a LONG time.
one of my best friends Justin Broberg landed a semi pro snocross contract next year with warnert racing. sounds like the title sponsor on the sled will be a BUD LIGHT skidoo. he took 3rd in the semipro open final sunday and won 90% of the races he entered this year.
for sure a good year! how many miles did everyone put on this year? i put on 1700-1800 i think, and thats hust with our usual family christmas trip and the eagle river derby which was almost too cold to ride anyway. most of it was on the drumlin trail out of waukesha county for me. now i just gotta start looking for a polaris iqr/600rr for next winter.
anyone get a chance to make one more ride in the last snowfall that we got? I was able to ride at my grandpa's farm feilds with my dad and 2 buddies, good time, we did get a real good amount of snow!!
i got about 10 miles on around the house, just ditch baning and what not.
put them away, its done for the year.
:D
to a rocketing speed of 30mph ? lol, jp!
definalty did some last minute riding... and it was pretty weak.... nothing compared the earlier this year!
although it was good to get back on it one more time!
lets fire this thread back up, it will be snowing before we know it, my last asphalt race is at the end of this month then it is all on for the trails and lake running.... ITS ON!!!!!!! Whos got new sleds and any big plans for the up coming winter. I have a few sleds i need to sell, let me know if anyone is interested.
Whatcha selling?
i was thinking of waking this thread up myself.
my car gets put away next weeked and the sled gets pulled out. all weather forcasts i have seen have it being another good year?!??! will have to wait and see i guess. the only big plans i have for this year would be to try to log more miles on up north by my cabin. other than a new helmet i will keep my junk one more year. new sled next year for sure, totally undecided as to what that might be.
I am so ready for the snow, being up here in the UP and seeing all the trails is getting me all kinds of excited. I need a track before I can start riding though
ahh the old sled thread. my junks just sitting in the back of the garage, just need to toss the top end back together. i probably going to sell it and get either a 600rr (in the iqr stubnose snocross chassis but with a big tank and a standard 600 h.o. carb motor). or i was also looking at the brand new 800 dragon sp (regular iq chassis with better shocks lower windsheild ect but with 154 h.p.) decisions, decisions...
melted mine down at the track tonight, new motor for the winter...tee hee hee.

last year i was riding the second weekend of december, and i plan on doing that again this year. if anyone wants to come to the UP with me december 11th-14th, post up.
62 days until trails open!!
hopefully i dont break anything like last year.. i remember there was a ride planned to go up north on here and i broke my linkage in the skid 4days before, and parts were backorded..
I plan on riding myself poor this winter. My snowmobile club has a storage unit right off the trail, it's gunna be so ridiculously awsome.
Mine are still on the trailer. Still trying to get rid of the zrt so I can get on with the next project.
im gonna be working on switching mine over from asphalt this weekend and getting her all set for snow
Got 2, one needs minor work and the other a little bit more major. Gonna sell both thought to fund a new ride since the the ball and chain is no longer attached! :thumbsup
