I think I'm going to the range today. Sucks not having anywhere to go shoot BUT the range :( Popping paper is getting old.
LOL I was wanting to actually make a target stand out of PVC, something like a ladder golf ladder, with twine tied to it, which would hold items to shoot at, so you never have to go pick them back up :D
Its the S&W .45
Shhhhhh don't let the XD cult hear you saying something nice about a different pistol
:rolf:rolf:rolf:rolf
im planning on rigging something similar up.. i trying to figure out where i can get bowling pins.and things along the line of that. this spring im going to be building a tower stand that i can use for hunting and shooting year round. its going to be sick.. :headbang
Keep an eye on CL for those bowling pins. They come up once in a while.
There's always: http://sporting-goods.shop.ebay.com/...Z50811?_npmv=3
Threaded barrels are A-OK.
An 01 FFL is not to be confused with an SOT or a "Special Occupation Taxpayer"; or...
The classes of SOT holders:
Class
1 - importer of NFA firearms
2 - manufacturer of NFA firearms
3 - dealer in NFA firearms
If one plans
to engage in business in NFA weapons, one needs to be a SOT, just
as one needs the FFL if they plan to engage in the business of
dealing, making, or importing regular firearms.
If anybody here ever organizes a day of shooting I've
been wanting to weld together a set of steel targets
that spin/rotate when struck. I was gonna flame cut
various animals from 4" ground squirels to coyote
size cutouts and make them swing on an iron frame.
Hit Obama mug shot get 2 points, hit the squirel size
target get 100 points, smarter the animal the more points.
Target shooting is fun, listening to or actualy watching
stuff "Bing" at 200yrds is even better.
well i typically have a group of friends out 4-5 times a year. normally its the first warm dry weekend in spring. i have a decent back stop set up for the 100 yarder but i need to get a few more rail road ties to build something decent for the 400ish yard range
Let get it going. Next weekend is range day at your house?
If I aim the 10/22 up at say a 35* incline it might go 400 yards. :durr
Maybe I could bring the Competitor 7mm-08 for some real fun. :)
Still got the iron sights on her though.
