I have to sign up for Sunday.
Looks like I may be bailing after my turn on the rollers to help out a buddy.
I'm still REALLY pissed I can't make it. :(
Im going to really try and get up there Sunday......Always an awsome time.
Can't wait for tomorrow, bringing the beagle to see whats it puts down.
I tried REALLY hard not to laugh my ass off at the civic that was there. I was REALLY hoping when he rolled up with no hood or front bumper that he had some monster awesome motor in it that was going to throw 200+ down. The high idle even had me going for a minute. After the first pull it was very clear that that car was TIRED. 150/100 has to be less than a B16A2 put down factory fresh and stock, doesn't it?
Other than the spoiler... it hasn't changed since I saw you last. lol
Oh... and the cam and mufflers...
And thanks, for being self tuned, I was pleased.
Yea the honda had I think around 200k on it and was definitely getting tired. So 150/100 seemed about right, my guess is that's about what they put down out of the box, so his mods just were counteracting the miles.
Sounds like he is planning to go through the motor soon.
Apparently I need to make myself more memorable or something... I feel like a dickbag spending the day there and still having no idea who's who. lol
Yeah, not bashing on the guy. He's got guts showing up to a primarily domestic muscle event with a honda to begin with, and I heard him say "looks like its time to tune it up", I just wasn't sure exactly what he meant by it. The cloud of oil after the first pull was a fairly good indication its time to blow it apart. Theres something to be said for it holding together for as long as it takes that thing to spin the rollers up three times at 200K. lol
clapped out Honda still beats the kid w/ the vr6 gti who's engine literally looked like it was going to fall out the bottom....and the fact that he had to back all the way back off and spend 30 minutes trying to raise his coilovers back up.
Fixed some of the belt slip. Made about 13lbs. Just in time to rip the unit off Wednesday for the new owner.
