Steering column Question?????

Has anyone heard or know if a 82-88 pre VATS steering column will work for me if i swap over the VATS wiring and lock cylinder from my steering column?
Or if this is even possible to do?I don't care about the steering wheel radio contols!

did you want to keep the vats?if not you can get eproms burned with out the vats.

What is the cost for the chip??
