We went out in Wyoming. Sat around a camp, on chairs with guns. Looked for little heads popping up; look through the scope...BOOM! Head shot!
Actually, it was harder than it sounded. My accuracy was pretty low-to non-existent at a 80+ yards...I know, I suck.
Out west/Dakota's/Montana are probably the best places for it...that and coyotes.
new .375 H&H mag could use some rounds put through it...... :rolf
I always wanted to try that..and put some more rounds through my 22-250
I found a great looking place in SD. 13hr drive to get there. I belive it's $195/day including lodging and a guide. $235 a day including all meals too. They said you would shoot between 500 and 750rnds per day. The prices don't seem too bad considering some places want $500 per day for a guide with out lodging.
Sounds like a blast! I have a .17HMR and a .204 Ruger, neither of which have even been fired yet!!
We used to get PAID $1 a dog, lol.
If I don't sell the .300 win mag I just won it may go with me out there......I was thinking about using my .243 though.
If you want to shoot rounds go to canada, PM me for detials or ill get more info from my dad. We've been going out to SD for 5-7 years. Every year seems like less and less shooting. My dad and his friend flew out to canada this year.
He said he couldn't even compare it to any shooting in SD or wyoming. The bastards would come up 5 ft from where your shooting, actually just aiming the gun and not using a scope. His buddy took naps cause he got bored shooting and reloading. We shoot Savage bolt action .223's
