Even at his best he was very mediocre....so turn him around to a solid #4 starter? :) Only time he was good was the 06' postseason.
Who knows, they have one of the best pitching coaches if not the best, he might be serviceable for a few starts.
I wonder how much the cards signed him for.
Don't they just pick up his existing contract from Milwaukee?

and of course he did pitch well last night. Only 4 innings, but 1 run, 4 strikeouts, and hit a double.
Anxious to see him face a real offense...not what the M's trot out there :) .
