Pull the module and check the resistance. There should be an OE spec for the value of a "stock" unit. You should do this for all electrical components involved. I found an issue in a coil pack on a Chevy this way and it saved me a ton. You can usually find a salvaged unit for $60.
It could be the DIS but possibly something else, if you're not able to test it I'm sure someone has a good used one that you could try out at minimum.....
Is the DIS still grounded correctly?
Crank sensor?
Any codes?
module, coil or the crank sensor would be best guess but yea scan for codes or see how the crank sensor is performing before it dies
I checked the factory service manual in the shop at school...according to it, this is considered "normal operation" for the SHO's.
Did you get it fixed?
