I don't have a rule book for GLD, but if I were to relocate my battery to the trunk, am I required to have an "On/Off Switch?" I'm making a cold-air intake kit that routes to where the battery is currently located, forcing me to relocate it. Thanks :thumbsup

yes,you need a battery cutoff with the relocation.

just curious, but has this changed recently from last year? I had my old wagon at the track with just a box and a vent tube and they passed me for tech.Or is this only necessary if you have a fuel cell?

"Any car with a relocated battery must be equipped with a master electrical cutoff, capable of stopping all electrical functions including ignition (must shut the engine off, as well as fuel pumps, etc.). The switch must be located on the rear of the vehicle, with the "off" position clearly marked. If the switch is of a "push / pull" type, then "push" must be the motion that shuts off the switch"

Why do you have to have a cutoff switch if Batt is relocated? I know it is for saftey but is it for street cars also?

what about BMW's? The battery is in the trunk from the factory.

From what i've heard it's in case of an accident and they need/want to cut all power to the car it's so they know the battery is in the trunk and not the engine bay.
