The race went down about 10:30pm
Jim (Dr.Ford) made a shake-down run earlier in the evening, and stood the 'Bird up on the rear bumper. Lots o power, too much travel in the front suspension, no wheelie bars. When I last saw them, Jim's crew was trying to take some travel out of the suspension and pull some timing out of the engine to get the car to leave without the theatrics.
PowderPuff made one shake-down pass, but it was fuel fat and laboring at mid track. He was going to take some fuel out.

As the race finally went down, they ran even up, but only to the 1/8th mile, as the top end of the track was getting kind of damp from the dew. They both left off the tree, Jim put the car on the bumper, got out of it, got back in it, put it on the bumper again and got out of it for good. StuffySnuff made a nice pass with lots of racket (as any Pro-Mod should :rolleyes:) and went on to win handily.

Personal opinion: I think if Jim would put some wheelie bars on the car, he could make a good race with H.R. Puff-N-Stuff.

PS, the track seemed to be hooking VERY good tonight.

I brought some friends down that werent into drag racing they had a ok time though. Dr. Fords was impressive 2 bumper hits but the "pro mod" won it... If theres a rematch.... I'll be washing my hair that night. Track looked like it was hookn anything up with a wheel.

Yeah it looked like it hooked well.. But some didn't.. And a guy on a Busa went down by 60ft (I thought it was clutch problems someone said he spun) and there was a girl fight! But I have to say glad to see Tuffs car done and Jims car looked good on the bumper but all in all it was gay.. 1/8th mile racing FTL why wait you know the track gets bad at night.. I have to say RSD looked like it was moving downhill.
